WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter may not be available in India from tomorrow. 

 WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter may not be available in India from tomorrow.  The reason for the ban in India is that social media, including Facebook, has not changed its policy as per the guidelines put forward by the central government.  Today is the last day for the central government to implement the directive for social media like WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter.  It is reported that these platforms will not be available in India unless the position is changed today.

In February 2021, the Union IT Ministry directed social media to implement the new IT Act.

Three months were allotted for this.  This period ends today.  Only the Indian version of Twitter, Koo, has implemented the central government's new social media guidelines.

 As per the new directive of the Central Government, an employee from India should be posted on the social media platform.  This person will be responsible for resolving complaints related to posts on social media, checking content, and removing posts if necessary.  This applies not only to social media platforms, but also to OTTs.
